Get outside and work!

Forgive me Father for I have sinned...

It has been 6 days since I lot blogged!

Whew I feel so much better since I have confessed that. Now don' think I have been sitting around on my butt doing nothing (although that would be very welcome) I have been doing so pretty cool things. Although I have to admit I have spent a bit of time on my booty reading some pretty awesome books. Which is very out of character for me. I have always been the person who starts a book and then has something better to do. I am not one to sit still for a prolonged period of time. Although this week I have and I think I am beginning to understand how my family can sit for hours and read if they really enjoy the books.

My brother, sister and sister in law recommended the Divergent series to me so I figured I would check it out. Although in the past few days I read book 1 and made it about 1/4 of the way through book 2 before my bedtime came around (even then I didn't want to put it down). I have to say I kinda want to drag this one out because book 3 is not out yet and I have never been good at waiting for stuff LOL.
Pssssss Jenn What is the next book we are reading? HAHA.

Aside from reading I have begun the work on my new website (with the help of my amazing friend Carlos). I am no web genius so it is a work in progress but I am super excited about it. Here is a sneak peek

Like I said it is a work in progress and I hope to share it with you in the next week or so. However school is starting and I am going to have no life or time to myself again once my students come... BLAH!!!

Anywho, I do have a killer fun at home workout for you. I have been trying to incorporate more running into my routines but I am not one to stare at a wall while running on a tredmill nor do I find enjoyment in running 5+ miles like some one my friends out there, cough Carissa cough. HAHA So instead I have decided to work in small runs with plyo, calisthenics, light weights and resistance at home. This way I am working my lungs but it doesn't feel like a slow death to me.

After working until 2:30pm on Saturday I decided I didn't want to stay at the gym. I headed home, had a snack and wrote out my workout while sitting outside. The rain clouds were rolling in and I tried to get started ASAP. Although in Florida working out in the rain is a far cry from the heat and humidity so I wasn't to worried. I made it through three sets before the sky opened up on me. There was no lightening so I said..." what the hell" and I busted out my last set in the downpour!

I was pretty drenched by the time I was done but I felt GREAT! I didn't get caught in the rain, I choose to continue training in it! There is a difference and I was happy to make the choice I did to continue going.

This is what Saturday's workout looked like....

and this is what I looked like after I finished in the rain...

Here is to a great week and an even greater end to summer :o(
As Always if you have an questions about one of the moves please do not hesitate to ask!

Ciao and rainy workouts
