Protein Bread

I decided that since I am trying to be super strict before the holidays it was about time to make my Protein bread again.

I originally got this recipe from my friend and fellow blogger Carissa.

I however do not like to make the same thing twice, so every time I make this (which is often) I like to come up with all new flavors.

Once you get the hang of all the ingredients you can change it up in so many different ways. This weeks version came out with a banana bread type taste.

Just because I am super nice I will give you the original recipe and the recipe which I made this week.
See you already get to start off with two different flavors at your house!

This weeks version included:

What You Need

1 cup wheat flour
3scoops protein
1Tbsp Cinnamon
1/2 tsp each
nutmeg
cloves
ginger
salt
baking soda
1/2Cup Sugar in the Raw
1ripe banana
3 egg whites
1 jar of apple oatmeal baby food
1Tbsp Honey

Mix all dry ingredients together, then add wet ingredients.

Transfer to any cookware you choose... I use a glass bread pan.
Bake for 30 min in a 350 degree oven

It comes out like a thin loaf of bread but instead it is packed with protein.

My favorite way to eat this is topped with cottage cheese. It is super simple and packed with nutrients, great for a mid morning snack.

The original recipe
1C flour
2scoop Protein
2T cinnamon
1/2tsp baking soda
4 egg whites
3/4C truvia
8oz baby food carrots
same prep. as above

Ciao and protein love,

Alexis

  1. Interesting recipe! I am not much of a cottage cheese fan. Have you ever topped it with Greek yogurt instead?

  2. Yes! Plain Greek yogurt and some honey.. SO good. I love cottage cheese so the other day I topped it with cottage cheese and pomegranate... Greek yogurt and some fruit would be yummy too.
