What I Ate Wednesday v.9 Food and Wine

Peas and Crayons

So after all my years of living in Florida I have finally made it to the Disney Food and Wine Festival.
Please excuse pictures. They are from my phone. I need a new camera BLAH

Today's WIAW is brought to you courtesy of Disney Food and Wine on Sunday Afternoon...

We ate a lot and drank more than I ever do! So I decided since most of my readers are used to seeing my very particular food choices, and scheduled times for food I would show what a day of complete indulgence looks like.

For anyone unfamiliar with Food and Wine here it goes... There are different stations set up around Epcot, they are all based on a specific country. At each country you have a few different food options, wine or beer choices. The plates are not large and provide you with just enough to enjoy and not get too full too quickly.   Brian and I decided we would share all of our plates. So we picked one item from the country of choice and we split it.

Before we made it to Disney we had our normal Sunday routines to complete. Wake up call was at 6:30am and breakfast was Egg whites, turkey sausage and half of an Udi's GF lemon muffin.

Brian left for his Baseball game and I decided I would get in a run and some cleaning.
I did a 3 mile run and then I refueled with some coconut water.

Then I nibbled a little on some of the pasta salad I made the night before for dinner.... Only a few pieces. I was trying to decide what to eat LOL
Whole wheat pasta, cucumbers, onions, tomatoes and goat cheese.

I finally decided what I wanted.... and guess what it invloved Peanut Butter HAHA

OK now on to the good stuff... The unhealthy stuff... the calorie filled stuff... and oh yes ALL THE YUMMY STUFF!!!!!
 Here is the rundown
 Australia- Shrimp on the Barbie
Hawaii - Pork Slider with Pineapple salsa and Tuna Poke

Mexico- Shrimp Taco                   Scandinavia-  Rice Pudding

 Cheese Plate
Germany- Sausage on Pretzel roll                        See the half of the small plate was not that big

Italy- Ravioli formaggio                                 Poland- Kielbasa and perogies

 Pumpkin Mousse
Morocco-  Kefta and Baklava ( I LOVE BAKLAVA!!!!)

 Belgium- Mussels
 France- Escargot in Brioche... MMMMMMMMMM

Ireland- Lobster and Scallop Fisherman's Pie

South Korea- Pork lettuce wrap                  Greece- Chicken and Tzatziki

We had a great time and are so thankful to Cindy for getting us in for this amazing experience!!!! If you have never been you should definitely try to make it one year.

My friend and fellow Blogger Carissa  recently made a trip out to Food and Wine also. You should check out her choices.

A few pictures of our fun times... Oh ya it was Sunday I had to rep. the Steelers (even though we lost BLAH)

I ate and drank more than I would ever do on a normal day... but hey there was nothing normal about this day. I didnt worry about schedules, or making food, measuring food, and planning every bit of our day. I have to be honest... IT WAS GREAT.

But now it is back to the grind and healthy eats and schedules.

When was your last indulgence? and what was it?

Ciao from around the world

Alexis

  6. Epcot is amazing. I love all the food choices there. I went to the Japanese restaurant when I was there and it was so good. Disneyworld is a magic place and it looks like you had a good time.
