Delicious Baked Broccoli

A super simple step by step recipe to make a yummy bake broccoli to serve with any dinner!

I quick education about he health benefits found in broccoli:
Vitamin C: which aids iron absorption in the body
folic acid: which helps women sustain normal tissue growth, great for pregnancy
potassium: good for battling high blood pressure
calcium: combat osteoporosis. 

Ok enough with the science and on with the food

 First: use a veggie peeler to take the top layer (rough part) of the broccoli stalk

 Second: Cut Broccoli heads down the center 

 Third: Divide Halves again to create thinner pieces. (Almost like brocolini.. only cheaper lol)  Lay on a flat baking sheet

 Fourth: Toss in Extra Virgin Olive Oil and seasonings. I used basil, garlic powder, garlic salt, and paprika (use any seasonings you like)

Bake in a 400 degree oven for 10-15min. The bottoms will begin to caramelize.

 Flip and cook for an additional 5min.

Brian and I had these two nights in a row. It is super simple and super cheap. Since healthy food tends to be more expensive it is nice to make something at home with lots of nutrients that doesn't break the bank.
